Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Homelead collects, uses, discloses and safeguards personal information when you visit our website, respond to our advertising, talk to us, or use our platform. Homelead is operated by Telepathy Infotech Pvt. Ltd. and serves builders, developers, brokerages and agents across India and the United Arab Emirates.
We value your trust and are committed to protecting your privacy. By using our website and services you agree to the practices described here. If you have any question about this policy, write to support@homelead.com.
01Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — name, business email address, phone number, company or brokerage name, job role and country.
- Enquiry details — company type, target market, team size, the number of users you need, your requirements, and anything else you tell us in a demo request, form, email, WhatsApp message or call.
- Chat messages — whatever you type into the chat widget on our website. The widget is built and hosted by Homelead, not by an outside chat vendor, so those conversations stay within our own systems.
- Account details — login credentials, profile information and billing details if you become a customer.
- Support correspondence — messages, tickets and call records when you contact our support team.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages and timestamps, recorded in our server logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see section 11, which sets out exactly what this website does and does not use today.
Information from third parties
- Advertising and social platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads and LinkedIn, when you respond to one of our ads.
- Property portals and listing platforms our services integrate with — including MagicBricks, 99acres and Housing.com in India, and Bayut, Property Finder and Dubizzle in the UAE — where you or our customer has authorised that connection.
- Publicly available business sources used to verify company details.
02Advertising and lead forms
We advertise on platforms including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and LinkedIn. If you submit one of our instant lead forms or click through from an advertisement, we receive the details you chose to submit — typically your name, email address and phone number, along with your answers to that form's questions, such as the size of your team or which market you operate in.
We use those details for one purpose: to contact you about the demo or information you asked for, and about Homelead's products and services. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by replying to any message from us or writing to support@homelead.com, and we will act on that request.
Information you submit on a social platform is also handled under that platform's own privacy policy, which is separate from this one.
03How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry, schedule and run product demonstrations, and answer your questions.
- To provide, operate, maintain and improve the Homelead platform.
- To send service messages about your account, billing, security and changes to our terms.
- To send marketing communications about our products, where you have asked for them or where we are permitted to do so. You can opt out at any time.
- To understand which of our campaigns are useful, using the reporting the advertising platforms provide to us.
- To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To comply with our legal, regulatory and tax obligations.
04Our legal basis
Where the law requires us to identify a legal basis for using your information, we rely on the following.
| Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to a demo request or enquiry | Your consent, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract |
| Providing the platform to customers | Performance of our contract with you or your employer |
| Marketing communications | Your consent, or our legitimate interest in promoting our services to business contacts |
| Security, fraud prevention and service improvement | Our legitimate interests |
| Tax, accounting and regulatory records | Compliance with a legal obligation |
05Disclosure of your information
We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information.
- Service providers who work on our behalf — cloud hosting, email and messaging delivery, calling and WhatsApp Business infrastructure, and payment processing — under contracts that limit them to our instructions.
- Advertising platforms, to deliver and measure our campaigns.
- Professional advisers such as auditors, lawyers and accountants.
- Authorities, where we are required to disclose by law, court order or a valid regulatory request.
- A buyer or successor, if our business or its assets are merged, acquired or reorganised. We will tell you if this changes how your information is handled.
06International transfers
We operate in India and the United Arab Emirates, and some of our service providers are located elsewhere. This means your information may be transferred to, stored in or accessed from a country other than your own.
Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to the standard described in this policy, using contractual safeguards with our providers and the transfer mechanisms permitted under applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the UAE's Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
07Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy, and then delete or anonymise it.
| Type of information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Enquiry and demo-request details that do not become an account | 24 months from your last interaction with us |
| Customer account and platform data | For the life of the account, and 90 days after it closes |
| Billing, tax and accounting records | As long as tax and company law requires |
| Website and security logs | 12 months |
If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we are required to keep it for a legal reason.
08Your rights and choices
Subject to the law that applies to you, you may ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your information.
- Withdraw consent you previously gave, at any time.
- Object to or restrict certain uses, including direct marketing.
- Receive a copy of the information you gave us, in a portable format.
- Nominate someone to exercise your rights on your behalf, as provided for under Indian law.
Write to support@homelead.com and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows. We may need to verify your identity first.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to the UAE Data Office, depending on where you are.
09Data our customers store in Homelead
Our customers — builders, developers, brokerages and agents — use Homelead to manage their own leads, buyers, tenants, inventory and transactions. For that information, our customer is the controller and Homelead acts as a processor: we handle it on their instructions under our agreement with them, and we do not use it for our own purposes.
Each customer organisation sits inside its own tenant boundary, with access controlled by role, team, module and action.
If you are a buyer or tenant and want to know how a particular brokerage or developer handles your data, contact that company directly. We will help them respond to your request.
10Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit, tenant isolation, role and module level permissions, two-factor sign-in with device visibility, audit trails over critical changes, and encrypted daily backups.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to protect your information, and we will notify you and the relevant authority of a breach where the law requires it.
11Cookies and tracking
This website is deliberately light on tracking. As of the date at the top of this policy, it does not run third-party analytics, and it does not carry an advertising or conversion pixel from Meta, Google or any other platform. We do not build advertising profiles from your visit to this site.
What the site does use is limited to what is needed to make it work: storage set by our own chat widget so a conversation survives a page reload, and standard server logs as described in section 1.
You can control cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Blocking them may affect how parts of the site work. If we add analytics or advertising technologies later, we will update this section and, where consent is required, ask for it before those technologies run.
12Children's privacy
Homelead is a business product and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to support@homelead.com and we will delete it.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "last updated" date at the top, and if the change is significant we will tell you by email or through a notice on this site before it takes effect.
