Homelead vs Salesforce: Which CRM for India and UAE Real Estate?

Salesforce is a general CRM you adapt through an implementation project. Homelead is a real-estate CRM for India and the UAE that ships with portal leads, call AI, a WhatsApp bot, unit inventory and commissions on day one.

Salesforce is a general-purpose CRM that a real-estate firm adapts to its own terminology through an implementation project. Homelead is a real-estate CRM built for India and the UAE that ships with portal lead capture, phone-call recording with Hinglish AI summaries, a WhatsApp AI bot, live tower and plot inventory, CLP payment plans and a three-leg commission engine on day one, at a published per-user price. For builders, developers, brokers and channel partners selling in lakh, crore or AED, that difference decides how fast the team is actually selling.

Key takeaways

  • Homelead records calls from the team's own phones and writes a Hinglish transcript, summary and next step on the lead, with no IVR.
  • 99acres, MagicBricks, Housing.com, PropTiger, Square Yards, OLX and Meta Lead Ads land in one inbox with duplicate flags, automatic routing and a first-response SLA that escalates.
  • A WhatsApp AI bot answers from your own brochures and price sheets and updates the CRM itself.
  • One system covers India and the UAE: English and Arabic UI, AED invoicing, DLD and RERA stages in the deal file.
  • The builder panel handles towers, floors, units, plot maps, CLP demand letters, collections, loans and cancellations.
  • Pricing is published per user, from ₹1,499 to ₹2,299 per user per month, with pay-as-you-go AI.

What is the difference between Homelead and Salesforce?

Salesforce describes itself as a CRM organised around leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities and campaigns, which an implementation team then adapts for a real-estate firm's needs (Salesforce real-estate page). A real-estate deployment is assembled from several products listed on that page, including Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data 360, Tableau and Agentforce. Homelead is a single product where the units, site visits, channel partners, CLP schedules and commission legs already exist, and the setup work is loading your data rather than building objects.

The rest of this article covers the points where that matters most to an Indian or UAE sales floor, and the question to put to Salesforce on each.

How does each CRM handle calls from a telecaller's phone?

In India and the UAE the phone call is still the primary sales channel, and most of those calls happen from a telecaller's own handset with a normal SIM. Homelead treats that as the core workflow.

Homelead: own phone, own SIM, AI does the paperwork

  • The Homelead app syncs the phone's call log every 15 minutes and whenever it opens, uploads the recording, and AI writes a transcript, a summary, a disposition and a next step on the lead. Transcripts are speaker-wise and handle Hindi, English and mixed Hinglish.
  • There is no IVR to buy and no 'press 1' menu for the customer. The call goes from whichever SIM is in the phone; dual-SIM users pick which one to track, and an 'exclude personal contacts' switch keeps private calls out of the CRM.
  • Incoming calls show a caller-ID popup with the lead's name and assignee before the agent answers.
  • Guardrails stop the AI from making a mess: a call only auto-updates a lead if it was answered, lasted at least 10 seconds, produced more than 15 words, and the prospect showed interest or asked for a callback. Stages move forward only, never out of won or lost, and never over a change a human made after the call started.
  • Calling Mode queues fresh leads, due follow-ups, not-connected numbers and visits to confirm, with optional auto-dial, and keeps daily dialled, connected and talk-time counts per user.
  • Transcription and summary are billed per minute from the usage wallet (default ₹1 per minute) only when Homelead's AI is used; with your own speech-to-text key it is free.

Salesforce: what to ask

Salesforce's real-estate page says its AI can summarise calls, meetings and service cases (source), and a third-party pricing write-up reports that filling CRM fields from calls starts at the $195 edition (source). Before buying, ask Salesforce: which telephony product the calls must run through, whether it captures a call made from a telecaller's own SIM on a normal dialler, whether it transcribes Hinglish, and what each of those costs per user.

Where do portal and Meta leads land, and who calls first?

A builder running 99acres, MagicBricks, Housing.com and Meta ads at the same time loses deals in the gap between the enquiry and the first call. Homelead closes that gap with three mechanisms.

One inbox with duplicates flagged

Homelead has webhooks for 99acres, MagicBricks, Housing.com, PropTiger, Square Yards and OLX, a Meta-signed webhook for Facebook and Instagram Lead Ads (form name saved as sub-source, older leads back-fillable), a website form, an IVR-provider webhook, a generic webhook with field mapping for Google Ads or Zapier, and a partner API key for call centres and vendors. A buyer who enquires on two portals is still created but flagged as a duplicate and linked to the original, never silently dropped, and merging keeps both histories. Every lead carries source and sub-source, which feeds the lead-source effectiveness report. The setup is covered in 99acres, MagicBricks and Housing.com lead integration.

Routing with a visible reason

Five auto-assign strategies per source: round robin, percentage split, capacity balance, fixed daily cap, and parameter-based (city, budget, custom fields). Rotation teams have shift windows, and a Rotation Log shows every automatic pick with the rule that fired.

A first-response SLA that escalates

Settings hold a first-response SLA in minutes (default 60). The assignee gets a warning before the deadline; on breach the system can notify them, escalate to their reporting manager, flag the lead red, or auto-reassign it, with alerts in-app, by push and on Telegram, and an optional daily digest. Needs Attention then lists fresh no-contact and overdue leads with a next best action and the reason.

Salesforce: what to ask

Our research found no Salesforce-published connector for 99acres, MagicBricks, Housing.com, Property Finder, Bayut or dubizzle, and third-party coverage notes that its off-the-shelf functionality does not focus specifically on real estate (Itransition). Ask Salesforce to show a live push from your own portal accounts into a lead record, who builds and maintains that connector, and what a duplicate from two portals looks like.

Can the CRM answer WhatsApp enquiries on its own?

Indian and UAE buyers open with a WhatsApp message, often at 11 pm. Homelead connects your own number through the official WhatsApp Business (Meta Cloud) API via Embedded Signup inside the panel, supports several numbers per account, and gives the team a shared inbox with free replies inside Meta's 24-hour window and approved templates outside it. Templates can be drafted with AI in 71 languages including Hindi, and Meta's approval status syncs automatically.

The WhatsApp AI bot replies instantly from the company's own Knowledge Center: brochures, price sheets and live inventory, which syncs automatically as records change. It answers project details, price, location, amenities and availability, books a site visit, shares documents, classifies intent and temperature, and updates the disposition, status, follow-up and pipeline stage itself. Risky moves such as a final stage become proposals a human approves. When a buyer is hot or says 'human chahiye', the bot assigns a live agent and pauses; any agent can click Takeover. It is off by default per number and has a dry-run tester, so nothing goes live untested. Costs are Meta's own conversation charges plus a per-message wallet rate. See WhatsApp CRM for real estate for the inbox and template workflow.

Ask Salesforce which product and edition include a WhatsApp inbox and a bot that answers from your brochures, and whether either is in the base per-user price.

Does it work for India and the UAE in one system?

A Jaipur builder with a Dubai sales office, or a Dubai brokerage selling Indian plots to NRIs, runs both markets in one Homelead tenant.

  • UI in English and Arabic; UAE accounts invoiced in AED; bilingual FTA-format tax invoices.
  • The deal file on every booking carries region-specific stages and a compliance checklist: for the UAE, AML/KYC, RERA forms, Oqood, DLD registration and Title Deed; for India, DPDP consent, Aadhaar masking, the TDS 194-IA reminder for resale at ₹50 lakh and above, and RERA agent registration. Each stage change is time-stamped with the user.
  • A project RERA number field prints on quotations, messages and portal feeds; UAE agent RERA number and card expiry are stored on the user.
  • Property Finder listing push and Bayut and dubizzle listing feeds for UAE stock; Indian portal publishing via CSV export.
  • The WhatsApp bot replies in English, Hindi, Hinglish and Arabic; the AI voice agent speaks English, Hindi and Hinglish.

The markets page lists the India and UAE specifics. For Salesforce, our research found USD list prices only and no INR or AED pricing; ask for a quote in the currency you are invoiced in and for the real-estate stages you would have to build yourself.

What does a builder get: inventory, CLP, demand letters, collections?

This is where a product built for real estate separates from a platform adapted to it. Homelead's builder panel ships with:

  • Live inventory: towers, floors and units, plus plots. Plot layouts are uploaded as AutoCAD DXF/DWG or vector PDF and become clickable status maps. Unit status moves through Available, Hold, Temporary Booked, Booked, Allotted and Sold; a booking on a Sold or Allotted unit is refused, so double booking is blocked, and holds carry a release history. Brokers can request Shared Inventory and see the builder's live status.
  • Payment plans: construction-linked (CLP phases), time-linked or hybrid, from payment-term templates such as 20:80 by customer category, with a custom schedule per booking.
  • Demand letters: completing a construction phase raises the due lines automatically; letters go per line or in bulk from Recommended Demands by email, WhatsApp and a no-login link with the PDF and a Pay Now button through your own Razorpay or Easebuzz account.
  • Collections: online payments auto-recorded; offline cash, cheque and UPI/NEFT entries with optional finance verification and a cheque-clearance step; overdue reminders every N days; late-payment interest and bounce charges configurable; buyer statement PDF with agreed, due, received, balance and interest.
  • Loans and cancellations: home loan per booking with sanction, tranches and disbursements; cancellation with a configurable charge, computed refund tracked to settled, and due commissions voided.

Illustrative example: a 2 BHK on a 20:80 plan is booked in May. When the site engineer marks the plinth phase complete, the 10% plinth line becomes due with a 15-day due date, the demand letter goes to the buyer on WhatsApp with a Pay Now link, and the collections dashboard for that project shows pending versus received without anyone touching Excel.

Salesforce's page says its standard objects are adapted by your implementation team (source). Ask who builds the unit object, the CLP schedule logic and the demand-letter template, and what it costs to change them when the next tower launches. The 25-feature checklist for builders is a useful script for that conversation.

How are channel partner and referral commissions handled?

Indian projects routinely move through channel partners, and UAE deals often have an owner side, a buyer side and a referrer. Homelead uses one commission formula everywhere, Percentage of deal, Fixed, or Days/Month of rent, with three legs per booking: owner, lead (buyer) and reference, each separately payable. Finance → Commission shows agreed versus paid, receivable versus payable, mark-as-paid and refunds, scoped by user. A cancelled booking voids its due commission automatically. Builders keep a Channel Partners master with commission percentage and project allocation, and every lead can carry a reference name, phone and commission for referrals. The onboarding-to-payout flow is covered in channel partner management for builders.

What does each one cost for a 20-person team?

Homelead publishes its pricing per user per month with a minimum seat count per plan: Growth ₹2,299 (from 10 users), Pro ₹2,099 (from 20), Scale ₹1,799 (from 50) and Enterprise ₹1,499 (from 100, adding multi-branch, white-label portal, SSO/SAML, custom modules and APIs, SLA-backed support). In USD: $24.99, $22.99, $18.99 and $16.99; UAE accounts are invoiced in AED. A quote is capped at the next band, so 19 users never pay more than 20. Every plan includes portal and ad integrations, projects and inventory, microsites, bookings, commissions, ledger and collections, rent, WhatsApp/SMS/email automation, reports and the mobile app. AI voice minutes, AI replies and transcription are pay-as-you-go from a wallet, and you can plug in your own AI key.

Illustrative: a 20-user brokerage on Pro pays ₹41,980 per month plus GST, plus whatever wallet usage it actually consumes.

For Salesforce, third-party write-ups citing its pricing page report editions at $25, $100, $195, $395 and $550 per user per month (Aliteq, TTMS); the sources disagree on edition names, so verify on salesforce.com. One write-up notes that only the cheapest edition can be billed monthly (source), another that Web Services API access is a $25 add-on on the Pro edition (source), and another that add-ons are priced per user again on top of the edition (source). Ask for an all-in quote covering edition, telephony, WhatsApp, API access, implementation and the admin who maintains the customisation. Our guide to per-user CRM pricing explains how to compare those line items.

Who gets the most from Homelead

  • Builders and developers with towers or plotted layouts who need live unit status, CLP schedules, demand letters and collections in the same system as their leads.
  • Brokerages running paid portal listings and Meta ads where response time and lead routing decide conversion.
  • Channel partners who need a clean record of what is owed on every deal and shared access to a builder's live stock.
  • UAE brokerages that want AED invoicing, Arabic UI and DLD stages without a custom build.
  • Any team with telecallers who want calls recorded and summarised without an IVR or a new phone system.

Verdict

For Indian and UAE real-estate teams, Homelead wins because the work a Salesforce project would start with, defining units, visits, partners, CLP lines and commission legs, is already done, and because the daily channels those teams live on, the phone and WhatsApp, are handled natively with AI that reads Hinglish. You pay a published per-user price, add AI usage as you consume it.

Moving to Homelead

Migration is an Excel job, not a project. Leads import from CSV or XLSX using a sample template with tolerant column matching, up to 50,000 rows per file, with a per-row success or failure reason and optional round-robin assignment during import. Properties, projects and builder units have their own bulk templates, and lead sources are a configurable list so your existing source names carry over. Onboarding is done by the same team that runs your demo, and the in-app Need Help assistant raises a support ticket in one click.

Frequently asked questions

Is Salesforce built for real estate?

Salesforce's own real-estate page describes a general object model of leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities and campaigns that your implementation team adapts to real-estate terminology. Homelead ships with units, plots, site visits, channel partners, CLP plans and commissions already in the product.

Does Homelead need an IVR or cloud telephony to record calls?

No. The Homelead app syncs call logs from the team's own phones, uploads the recordings and has AI write a Hinglish transcript, summary, disposition and next step on the lead. An existing IVR provider can still push its call pings in through a webhook if you have one.

How much does Homelead cost compared with Salesforce?

Homelead publishes per-user prices from ₹1,499 to ₹2,299 per user per month (USD $16.99 to $24.99, AED invoicing in the UAE) with all modules included and AI on a pay-as-you-go wallet. Third-party write-ups report Salesforce editions from $25 to $550 per user per month with add-ons priced per user; verify on salesforce.com and ask for an all-in quote.

Can Homelead run an Indian and a UAE office in one account?

Yes. One tenant can hold both, with English and Arabic UI, AED invoicing, bilingual FTA tax invoices, and region-specific deal-file stages such as DLD and Oqood for the UAE and TDS 194-IA and RERA for India.

How do I move leads and inventory into Homelead?

Leads, properties, projects and builder units import from Excel or CSV using sample templates, up to 50,000 lead rows per file with a per-row result. The onboarding team that runs your demo also handles setup.

Does the Homelead WhatsApp bot replace the sales team?

No. It answers first-line questions from your brochures and live inventory, books site visits and updates the CRM, then hands a hot buyer or anyone who asks for a person to a live agent. Any agent can take over a conversation at any time.
